I had the pleasure of being the event photographer for the Breakthrough T1D fundraising gala at the elegant Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. The evening was full of glamour, generosity, and unforgettable moments—all in support of a meaningful cause.
Breakthrough T1D is a nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes and its complications. My role as the photographer was to document the energy, emotion, and incredible spirit of the attendees—and to create a lasting visual story of the evening.
The Live Auction: Excitement, Bidding Paddles, and Big Donations
From the moment guests arrived, the vibe was electric. A stylish cocktail hour kicked off the night, where attendees explored an array of silent auction items. I also offered an on-site photo booth for couples and friends to take home a printed keepsake from the event.
As the crowd transitioned into the ballroom for dinner, the experience continued with heartfelt testimonials and powerful video segments showcasing Breakthrough T1D’s research efforts. Guests enjoyed a beautiful meal in a setting that was nothing short of breathtaking, with thoughtfully designed ballroom decor, professional lighting, and elegant ambiance.
