Event Overview: The Center for Children & Youth Justice (CCYJ) held a fundraising breakfast to present the Norm Maleng Advocate for Youth Award. The Advocate for Youth Award recognizes those who, like Norm, show exemplary leadership, dedication, advocacy for, and commitment to the youth and families of Washington who become involved in our juvenile justice and child welfare system. This year the award was presented to Justice Bobbe Bridge.
Speaker Showcase & Award Presentation
The event was MC’d by Mark Maleng and his Mother, Judy Maleng. There were also several very inspiring speakers who shared heartfelt stories about how Justice Bridge made a massive impact in their life. The Norm Maleng award is meant “to celebrate the achievements and the heroes—those who never stop striving to create better futures for all kids.” It is always an honor to photograph an event that celebrates people who are doing life changing work in the world.
