In May, the Seattle Humane hosted its annual Tuxes & Tails fundraiser at the premier event venue, Fremont Studios — a glamorous evening dedicated to supporting animal welfare and celebrating our beloved fur babies. As a Seattle event photographer with a passion for capturing meaningful moments, I was honored to document this joyful and impactful occasion.

My assistant Anita managed the Step and Repeat photo station, where guests posed for portraits in their beautiful dresses and tuxes. Meanwhile, I moved throughout the lively reception area, capturing candid interactions, laughter, and connections. One of the most delightful aspects of the evening was the presence of adoptable kittens and puppies, brought in by volunteers. These tiny ambassadors for Seattle Humane stole the show, receiving endless belly rubs and ear scratches.
The evening transitioned into the stunning main stage area, beautifully lit and full of energy. Auctioneer Colin McArthur led the program with humor and heart, driving enthusiasm for the cause. A standout auction item was a custom painting donated by local muralist Henry, known affectionately as “Seattle’s Most Prolific Artist.” His work sparked a bidding war, demonstrating the power of art to support meaningful missions.
